I. Functional requirements
Sealability
Under normal working condition, the glove box shall maintain good sealing performance internally to prevent gas leakage and ensure the purity and pressure stability of the gas inside the box. The leakage rate should be lower than [specific value] ppm/h.
Gas Purification
Equipped with efficient gas purification system, able to remove moisture, oxygen and other impurities inside the box, so that the atmosphere inside the box reaches the required purity index (e.g., the oxygen content is lower than [specific value] ppm, and the moisture content is lower than [specific value] ppm).
Convenience of operation
The operation of the glove box should be simple and convenient, glove flexibility and good touch, easy to operate the operator in the box for a variety of experiments and operations.
II. Structural Requirements
Box material
The box is made of corrosion-resistant and high strength materials, such as stainless steel or aluminum alloy, and the surface needs to be anti-corrosion treatment.
Observation window
Equipped with a clear, highly transparent observation window, so that the operator to observe the situation inside the box, the observation window should have a good resistance to wear and scratch resistance.
Gloves
Gloves should be made of chemical-resistant, abrasion-resistant and flexible materials, such as butyl rubber or neoprene, and the interface of gloves should be sealed reliably to prevent gas leakage.
Third, the safety requirements
Pressure protection
Installation of pressure sensors and safety valves, when the pressure in the box exceeds the set value, it can automatically alarm and pressure relief to ensure the safety of operators.
Electrical safety
The electrical equipment in the glove box should meet the explosion-proof requirements, with good grounding and insulation to prevent electrical accidents.
Emergency stop button
Equipped with emergency stop button, in case of emergency can quickly stop the operation of the glove box, to protect the safety of personnel and equipment.
Maintenance requirements
Easy maintenance
The design of the glove box should be easy to maintain and repair, the key components are easy to disassemble and replace, and detailed maintenance manuals and operating instructions should be provided.
Spare parts supply
The supplier should ensure that during the service life of the equipment, spare parts and maintenance services can be provided in time to ensure the normal operation of the glove box.
